Cardboardframe launches new product line of whimsical and practical picture frames

Detroit, MI.- Cardboardframe.com, a Detroit manufacturer and distributor of one-of-a-kind oversized cardboard picture frames for fine art and photographs, today launched their product line of funky and practical frames for artists and designers who need inexpensive frames to sell and ship their artwork in. "One of the benefits of art is that it is a conversation starter and these frames make that conversation pretty much start itself", says James Peery, a professional artist and founder of the company. He adds, "art doesn't always have to be so serious and a cardboard frame definitely lightens it in feel and no pun intended, in weight."

Initially the frames were designed for artists to be able to provide cheap frames that doubled as a shipping box, a need Peery found while selling art on his own art website, but he has found the product line has much broader appeal especially now that digital printing is available to almost anyone. For example, college students now blow up their favorite picture and put them in these frames for "instant art". Proud parents are putting their kid's artwork in these frames and "viola" a masterpiece. The frames range from something that looks like it should be in a museum to the raw and edgy look of plain cardboard. All frames come ready to hang on the wall and ready to use to ship your own artwork.

The new product line is available exclusively at www.cardboardframe.com and start at $9.99 for a 16 by 20 inch frame. As part of the launch, for a limited time you can even download free artwork at the website and send it in for Peery to sign and he will send it back to you in a sample size gold frame.

Established in 2004, cardboardframe is a wholly owned subsidiary of Would Frame Co. LLC. It produces nine frame styles in various sizes. Their website is at cardboardframe.com.
